About the Sweet Woodroffe

Clients sometimes ask, "You're a talk therapist. Why do you have that plant on your website?"

The little green plant with white blossoms is Sweet Woodroffe. This herb grows along shady forests floors, blooms only during the month of May, when I celebrated the opening of my therapy practice. It grows in whorls of eight, representing the four seasons of the year and the cross-quarter days between. Its scent is of vanilla and new-mown hay.

No matter how stressed we may feel, plants are always there, quietly emitting life force - oxygen - for us. And the most common local plants we often overlook often are the very ones that carry the medicine we need, just as our own answers are within us, or very nearby. Woodroffe reminds us to keep our feet on the ground, and appreciate the little things in life.
